The backbone of the IT infrastructure consists of a centralized state-of-the-art server-farm in Zurich where business relevant applications are being hosted, maintained and developed. The standard Microsoft office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and others are being made available through a Citrix Xenapp platform. The core business application that is used for the handling of the air cargo has been developed by us as an addendum to the powerful ERP system: “NAV Microsoft Dynamics”. It is called “G.O.A.L.S.” = Global Operations and Accounting Linked System.
Companies of any size in any location worldwide can benefit of this infrastructure as they do not need to setup and maintain a local hardware/software infrastructure. All this is handled by datacair’s IT network- and support team in a dedicated high security data-center in Zurich.
